Part 2 of 5 — The Renewal Collection
This is what it looks like when you stop running.
The figure folds inward — butterfly wings where a face should be, hands pressed to a wound that isn’t closing. Around her, bubbles rise. Tendrils reach. The world keeps moving while she stays still, finally still, in the place she’d been avoiding.
The Descent is the second piece in The Renewal Collection — the moment after the decision to turn inward and before anything has been resolved. The aftermath of choosing yourself. It is not peaceful. It is necessary.
Original acrylic painting on canvas. Signed by the artist, Roberto Cisneros.

About the Series
The Renewal Collection is a 5-painting narrative of the soul’s journey — from original blueprint through shadow work, transformation, dissolution, and finally, inner knowing. The order: The Origin → The Descent → The Rupture → The Unraveling → The Inner Knowing. Each piece stands alone. Together, they tell the whole story.
